Frequently Asked Questions
Q: I’ve decided I want to encapsulate my placenta, now what?
A: Call, text, or email me and I will get you on my calendar! I also advise you to let your healthcare provider know that you are planning to keep it and write it in your birth plan if you have one. You will need to take a small to medium cooler and a couple of large freezer bags with you when you deliver because you will need to put your placenta on ice. After you deliver you can call or text me and I will pick it up as soon as possible.
Q: What kind of cooler should I take?
A: You can use any clean cooler that is small to medium in size. I will return it back to you with your pills so it doesn’t need to be disposable. Below are a few pictures of ones other people have used so you can get an idea of the size.
Q: What kind of capsules do you use?
A: I use OO gelatin capsules but I can use vegetarian capsules upon request. Both types are gluten-free.
Q: What are the benefits of placenta encapsulation?
A: I encourage you to look into placenta encapsulation online and decide if it is right for you and your family. I choose not link to research because I believe that everyone needs to educate themselves about it and why it is the right choice for them. I am happy to answer any questions you may have by phone, text, or email.
